So, let me introduce myself. The name's Thar - so obviously I'm a female, you needn't have to clarify that (XD) - I'm 19 and I live on a small peninsular in South East Asia, named Malaysia. Anime bore me, books indulge me, ergo you can tell what I enjoy doing most aside from expressing myself in creative ways. I'm very straightforward, happy, calm, aloof and pleasant and I'm not denying any of those things, therefore I'm honest. My preference in music is mostly along the intrumental line: violins, pianos, celtic and irish, and their niche is to inspire me.
Writing has always been my greatest passion ever since I was a child, and honestly, I can't find a better past time elsewhere. It not only allows you to explore worlds within words, you tend to open up to yourself and come clean with your emotions. I am a self-taught writer, for I believe that one can unearth a lot more things if they experience it first-hand rather than taking it for granted by reading it from a book. Reading broadens your imagination and language skills but it doesn't let you see the details in occurences. For example, what do you see when you study a ripple in a lake? Or how do you feel when somebody passes away? Some books will describe the grief the character feels, but only someone who has truly gone through a lot of hardship can bring the feeling out to readers who have not endured anything of the kind. It allows you to write with more acuity than that found in a book.
Here's a tip: Writing is like art; it can only be improved by studying the world around you, practice and lots of patience. And of course, determination. You can't write a good story when you're not in the right mood.
Do drop me a note, even if to say hello! ;)
